INKS & TECHNIQUES
-
Plastisol
Plastisol inks rest on the fabric's surface, forming a thick, durable layer. They are the industry’s most commonly used inks due to their versatility across various fabrics. These inks maintain vibrant colors even after multiple washes. However, over time, plastisol inks may crack, depending on the thickness of the application.
-
Waterbased
Water-based inks are among the most environmentally friendly options in the mass screen printing industry. Unlike plastisol inks, they absorb into the fabric rather than sitting on the surface, resulting in a soft feel after washing. While they won’t crack over time, they may gradually fade with repeated washes.
-
DISCHARGE
Discharge inks are a type of water-based ink with an added agent that removes fabric dye during printing, acting like a bleach. They work best on 100% cotton, though color vibrancy can vary depending on the fabric.
-
Soft Premium Plastisol
Soft hand plastisol, just like the name states is plastisol ink mixed with an additive that allows the plastisol to become softer when printed on fabric. We recommend using this type of ink on triblend fabrics for a washout look.
-
Puff Printing
Puff ink is a plastisol-based ink that expands when exposed to heat, creating a raised, dimensional effect on the print.
-
Foil
Foil printing is a technique where an adhesive is printed in place of ink, followed by a heat-transferred foil application. To maintain its durability, we recommend washing foil-printed items inside out.
-
CLEAR GEL
Clear gel is a specialty ink known for its creative versatility. It can be applied as a color or layered over an existing color to create a glossy, wet gel effect on a design. These inks add a unique touch to standard prints. Feel free to ask us about our specialty inks!
-
Metallic Inks
Metallic inks are specialty inks that contain tiny particles, giving them a shimmering, sparkling effect. Available in both plastisol and water-based forms, they add a unique touch to your design. Ask us for recommendations tailored to your project!
-
GLOW IN THE DARK
Glow-in-the-dark inks are specialty inks that absorb light and emit a soft, glowing effect in the dark. They are perfect for creating designs that stand out in low-light environments, adding a fun and unique touch to your prints.
-
DTF
DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing is a versatile digital printing method that transfers designs onto fabric using a special film and adhesive powder. It produces vibrant, durable prints with excellent detail and stretchability, making it ideal for a wide range of garments and materials.
